[ Everything Noctis is used to is sleek, clean, pristine. It's always the top of the line technology, the fastest cars, the latest and greatest in fashion. Noctis doesn't necessarily want it all. It's just what he's know and what he's given for most of his life. The palace is nearly secluded from the rest of the city, and the school he went to might as well have been. The area was always so clean, so closed off from everyone outside of the wealthy, that it might as well have been a part of the palace itself.

Noctis is more than aware of the darker parts in the city. He's heard the stories, seen the news footage. He's also heard everything from Gladio. He's seen how he's changed over time with his long hair and each new tattoo see sees on his arm. Eventually he takes Noctis with him, shows him around, answers most of the questions that the prince asks. Hell, he even lets him try his first drink.

Their outings down here are still rare, but they're always the bright spot in Noctis' week, sometimes even month. He knows that they can't come down here often, but it's always fun to just let loose and mingle with people he'd otherwise never get to meet. Experience things he'd never get to even think about back at the palace.

Today had been particularly hard. The new political reports had come in. The tension between Lucis and Nifflheim was only getting stronger. His father was doing everything he could to keep the wall up at the cost of almost everything. Eventually he'd pass on and Noctis would be...Whatever. He couldn't do anything about it. Not now.

So when Gladio had suggested they get away for a minute, Nocits was more than happy to go along. He'd been suspicious at first (training was the last thing he wanted to do today) but he was pleasantly surprised when Gladio dragged him to this side of the city. However, they didn't hit their usual haunts. Instead, his shield had taken him someplace new.

The springs were beautiful, mimicking something he had briefly seen in Tenebrae. It was completely different than anything he'd seen in the city and it was amazing. ]

It's great! [He looks back up to Gadio with bright eyes. He begins to push off the robe that was already too big and loose on him to begin with, and he heads for the water.]
