The Soldier nuzzled against Tony, aware that time was not on their side right now and with his bond both injured and paralyzed, he couldn't risk dragging Tony along. He stood and stumbled, taking a moment to rip a tranquilizer dart from his thigh and tossing it aside. There was a numbness spreading through his muscles, but he stamped his foot on the ground to force blood through the limb to have momentary control again.
And into the woods he disappeared, using the advantage of the terrain to evade his quarry that were determined to find him, determined to hunt him. Despite his best efforts, he left spots of blood on the ground, a smear on tree bark, and he even began to slow as the minutes ticked by. He attacked the formation where there appeared to be opportunity, but he had to stop when his motions were too sluggish and his limbs threatened to collapse him. Then it was all about getting distance, all about pulling everyone alive away from the open field of wild flowers where he was dully aware that his bond was safe.
He doubled back, stumbling and falling, crawling where he must. What was left of the team moved in, perhaps sensing an end to his ability to fight back. He used the last of his strength and coordination to kill them all and crush their trackers. It was a brutal scene of bodies where he collapsed down into a bed of leaves, breathing quickened and short as he fought against the tranquilizers and the bullet holes in his body.
The Soldier found comfort in his bond, the warm pulse of it. He clung to it, able to judge the distance between them but also to know that while Tony was panicked and anxious, his bond was safe. He could almost smell the flowers that surrounded Stark. It was that idea which allowed him to fall into a dreamless state of unconsciousness.
There is also a missing sentence end at the start XD
